Upgrading Computers

Very often a computer can be refurbished and made "state of the art" for a substantial savings in the cost of buying a new computer.

More important, however, is the ability to save a computer's existing programs and preserve the folders and files that have been built-up in it over a period of years.

The Computer Guy can normally preserve the contents of a hard drive by electronically transferring them to a new, larger hard drive, and upgrade any or all needed components.

In addition to larger hard drives, popular upgrades include larger memory chips (RAM), faster motherboard and processor, CD-RW's and DVD drives, and wireless components (such as network cards, keyboard/mouse, etc.)
